How wonderful to see the weather change to allow plein air painting with our art group. Recent outings to photograph and paint on site have included trips to Walter's Greenhouse in Moneta,  a trip to Greenfield and Blue Ridge Park in Botetourt County to paint on site.
June will be a busy time for the plein air painters with a Seasons in Salem II at the Salem Historical Museum, the Sidewalk Art Show in Roanoke and the opening of the Artisian  Trail in Bedford County  with the Art Exhibition at the Sedalia Art Center in Big Island on June 1st.

New works of art can be seen at 2nd Helpings Gallery, 1502 Williamson Road, Roanoke, Va.,  Black Dog Salvage, 902 13th Street, SW, Roanoke, Va., and Goose Creek Gallery in Bedford, Virginia.

I have recently placed art work in a wonderful home decor shop, Buy The Season at 1529 Apperson Drive in Salem, Virgina. They are open daily 10-6 (Monday, Saturday), Sundays 1PM-6 PM,  10AM-7PM  all other days. It is a real interesting shop and I hope you will stop by to see the artwork.

I will be assisting in a collage & transfer workshop at 2nd Helpings Gallery on July 27th so if you are interested in learning some of these fun techniques, please be sure and register at 2nd Helpings (540-491-9405) early since space is limited.
