Another Sea Energy painted and ready to frame.
It is like a trip to the beach.

This week will be busy getting ready to plein air paint
at Centerfest in Bedford and then finishing the
presentation of the Legacy Series for 2nd Helpings/Mental Health Services Senior forum on October 2nd.
Hope to see our friends at these events.

I still love to paint subjects about the coast , even though I
no longer live on the NC Coast, I can still keep my feet wet
by doing the paintings.  With the dreary weather we had yesterday I decided it was a good time to play with finishing
the painting I had started.
This is an acrylic painting on handmade papers.

Since there are a number of folks in the
Roanoke Area that love coastal colors,
I may take this to Black Dog to see if they want to
add it to the art there in the Marketplace.

Enjoy the day and, if you are going to see the Hokies
play in Blacksburg, take your umbrella's!

We had a wonderful time in Lynchburg, Virginia last weekend at the Lynchburg Art Club Show
at EC Glass High School. I saw lots of old friends and met some new ones too.  Our Double Line Painters will be featured at the Lynchburg Art Club for October.  Stop by to see us at the Reception October 4th from 5-8 PM.
The Double Line Painters will also be doing a show at the Goose
Creek Gallery in Bedford, Virginia with a reception on October 11.

Our painting group is working with joined canvas for the Goose Creek
Art Show.  This is one of the panels.  The one I am bringing is 3 panels
landscape which can be hung as a large painting or taken apart to have
3 landscape panels 24x12 each.  It is a challenging to formulate a series
such as this.

I have included panels  #1 and #3  You will have to come to the
Gallery to see #2 and the Joined canvases!

in the Gallery.  If you haven't seen this wonderful Gallery, stop by when you
are in the area or view their artists work on line at   The Gallery is in the heart of Calabash at
10283 Beach Drive SW.  I have met many of the artists there, taken workshops
and enjoyed many art activities at Sunset River Marketplace.  Ginny Lassiter, the owner , is a true

" Rooster Squared"

Rooster Squared" is another bit of whimsy

that began the flurry of paint brushes to get ready for several art shows, Lynchburg Art Club and Goose Creek Gallery
in Bedford  during September and October.

Flowers in the Park was a plein air painting with a completion in the studio.

The 3 Hats was completed. An earlier post showed the underpainting of this one.

"Summer Fancy is a combination of 2 paintings
with the addition of some hardware (hardware not
pictured) as an assemblage.

Girl Looking is a computer art
I recently completed .

These works can be seen at the exhibitions
at the Lynchburg Club art Show at EC Glass in September
and at the galleries and shows in the area.
